The plan this month was to get busy in the shed making things to sell at Christmas fairs. I was ahead of the game and booked slots in a few back in the summer. I worked hard to make enough money in September and October so that I could keep November free to prepare… these things don’t make themselves! Well my first fair is this Sunday and today was the first day that I have had to make anything for it. Its been a busy month; lots of handyman work and lots of orders for some old classics (dogs beds are still selling well) but also some bespoke items which I have really enjoyed making.
With some help from my good wife I think we will be ready. Charlie has an inset day tomorrow, I’m sure he would love to spend the day in the shed!
I think that I should work as hard as I can on the run up to Christmas because January and February are likely to be quiet. Although, I think that I have just secured a fairly big flooring job starting in February which should help keep me busy.
Anyway, all is well. Busy but well. Please come and take a look at the stool and say hello at one of the Christmas fairs if you have the time. Here is a list of where I will be over the Christmas period;
Sunday 25th November – Wilton and Sherford Christmas fair, Taunton, 10:00-4:00
Sat and Sun 1st and 2nd December – Rumwell Farm Christmas market, Wellington
Saturday 8th December – The museum of Somerset Christmas Market, Taunton, 10:00-5:00
Sat 15th and Sun 16th December – Shepton Mallet Christmas market, Shepton Mallet
Would be lovely to see you there, you don’t have to buy anything!
Coming to the conclusion that I like being busy. I am still yet to watch an episode of Jeremy Kyle.
See ya next time x
